THE KNOWLEDGE WE DESERVE FOR THE FOOD WE CONSUME.

THE KNOWLEDGE WE DESERVE FOR THE FOOD WE CONSUME.

*Food as weapon*

🌏 We produce enough food to feed 10 billion people, yet 783 million go hungry. Why? Because under capitalism, food is not a human right ,it’s a commodity used for profit and control.

âś… *Hunger Amidst Abundance*
Supermarkets throw away tons of food daily while families struggle to afford a meal. Corporations manipulate prices, hoard supplies, and even destroy food to keep profits high.

âś… *Land Grabs & Displacement*

Smallholder farmers and Indigenous communities are being pushed off their lands to make way for large-scale agribusiness. These lands grow export crops like coffee and palm oil instead of feeding local communities.

âś… *Food Prices & Speculation*

Banks and hedge funds gamble on food prices, making staples like maize and wheat unaffordable for millions. When crises hit, the poor starve while the rich profit.

âś… *Exploitation in the Food Industry*

From plantation workers to supermarket clerks, food workers earn starvation wages while billion-dollar corporations thrive. The same system that “feeds the world” also keeps those who grow our food in poverty.

Food as a Political Weapon
Governments and corporations have used food to punish and control populations—from economic sanctions to food aid programs that destroy local agriculture.

🔥 What’s the solution? 🔥

🔆Food sovereignty: Support farmers and communities fighting for control over their food systems.
🔆Agroecology: Shift away from industrial farming to sustainable, community-led food production.
🔆Resistance: Speak out against corporate greed and policies that treat food as a luxury instead of a right.

The fight against hunger is a fight against capitalism. Let’s reclaim food as a right, not a weapon!
