There are no African-controlled military bases in Europe or America. Yet, the United States and Europe maintain numerous military bases across Africa. A continent of over a billion people, with hundreds of millions of hectares of arable land and trillions of dollars’ worth of natural resources, does not have a single military base in the West. This is part of the reason why NATO, backed by the Obama-led administration, orchestrated the downfall of Muammar Gaddafi. Gaddafi was on the verge of transforming Africa into one of the most powerful continents in the world — with a unified currency, a continental army, borderless trade, and a strong, unified military.
